Search engines work basically by searching sites that are linked to by sites they already know about. So in order to get your site to appear on search engines, you need to get links to it on sites that already appear on search engines.
My suggestion is go to your favorite search engine and search for sites on MPD. Look through the sites that come up for sites that include lists of links to related sites, then contact the owners of a few of those and see if they’d be willing to add your site to their list of links. Your best bet are sites that link to sites similar to yours and say on them that you can contact them if you want your website listed too.
